Dr. Robert Dee Vaughn, MD

Dr. Vaughn was the co-founder of Dilworth Surgical Specialists and has practiced in Charlotte since completing his Surgical Residency at Georgetown in 1981. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Vaughn is past President of the Medical Staff at Carolinas Medical Center and has served as Chief of the Department of Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center and Mercy Hospital. He has also served as Chairman of the Diversity Advisory Committee at Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Vaughn is board certified with the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the North Carolina Surgical Society and the Charlotte Surgical Society.
Dr. Vaughn has experience in vascular surgery, trauma surgery and all aspects of general surgery. His special interests include laparoscopic surgery, vascular access surgery and the treatment of varicose veins using the latest minimally invasive techniques …(see Vein Care Center).
