A board certified physician in allergy/ immunology and also in internal medicine, Dr. Saunders added his expertise to Allergy & Asthma Associates in 2001.
Dr. Saunders completed pre-medical education at Mississippi State University and received his medical doctorate from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1972. Upon joining the Air Force, he completed his internal medicine training, including a year as chief resident, at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. After practicing Internal Medicine for several years in California, he completed a fellowship in allergy/ immunology at the University of California Davis Medical Center in 1995.
Dr. Saunders is qualified to treat both adults and children. He particularly enjoys the patient education process, and his goal is for his patients to enjoy the same life-style as their non-allergic/ asthmatic peers do.
He retired from the Air Force Reserves in 2007 with the rank of Colonel, is married and has two daughters …and a stepson.
