Dr. Rocco Charles Piazza, MD

Rocco C. Piazza, II, knew from an early age he wanted to become a plastic surgeon, and his lifes work and education have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to that goal. Dr. Piazza, a graduate of Lake Travis High School, attended Baylor University where he studied a pre-medical curriculum as a University Scholar with an emphasis in English literature, philosophy of medicine and Spanish language. In 2001, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, and proceeded directly to The University of Texas Medical Branch on Galveston Island. There, he studied under Dr. Linda G. Phillips in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Piazza graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch with Honors in 2005, and was accepted into the prestigious Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center in Michigan. For the past five years, he participated in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Piazza has now returned to the city where he grew up and …has opened his practice at Seton Southwest Hospital where he takes call at the Emergency Department. He is a volunteer with Austin SMILES and former clinical educator with Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine.
