I believe it is very important to provide the patient with the information necessary to make an educated health care decision. My job as an educator is not complete until the patient is comfortable and can make an appropriate choice.
In 1986, I received my M.D. from Northwestern University School of Medicine. I completed my residency in General Surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I am certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Although I am experienced in General Surgery, I have a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and breast surgery, as well as Colon and Rectal Surgery.
