Dr. Ryan Scott Shugarman, MD

I am a board-certified general and forensic psychiatrist specializing in the practice of general adult and forensic psychiatry. In my clinical practice, I conduct an in-depth evaluation so as to thoroughly understand my patients and design a customized treatment plan, which may include the use of medication and/or a combination of the following therapeutic modalities: cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, trauma-focused, EMDR, exposure and response prevention, and supportive therapy. In my forensic work, I am available for consultation on both civil and criminal matters in VA, MD, DC, PA, and nationally. I am fellowship-trained and board-certified in forensic psychiatry.
