Dr. Samuel Thomas Sultan, MD

Samuel Thomas Sultan, M.D., is a board certified organ transplant surgeon who has recently joined the Hackensack Meridian Medical Group transplant surgery team at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Sultan provides high-quality, evidence-based care to his patients. He is well-trained in a broad range of transplant surgical techniques, and aims through transplant to help restore function, improve quality of life and return his patients back to enjoying the activities they love.
Prior to joining Hackensack Meridian Health, Dr. Sultan served as an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor at New York Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell School of Medicine, where he received a faculty teaching award. Currently, Dr. Sultan is also an Assistant Professor at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
Dr. Sultan has contributed several peer-reviewed publications on transplant surgery. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Transplantation, the …American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and the International Pancreas & Islet Transplantation Association.
