Dr. Scott Richard Elkin, DO

Dr. Darby is an OB/GYN physician specializing in ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis since 1981. Dr. Darby has been a leader in his field. He was the first to offer genetic amniosentesis and CVS in Austin, and was the founder of the Central Texas Perinatal Association, prior to joining Renaissance Women’s Group. His ultrasound practice at Renaissance has received accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Darby graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and did his residency in OB/GYN at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He served as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Seton Medical Center in Austin from 1991-1992. He served for over ten years as a member of the Seton Medical Ethics Council. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds memberships in the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the American Society of Human Genetics.
