I was attracted to Gastroenterology because of the diversity in this field. There are multiple organs involved, which allows me to deal with various disorders, diagnostic testing and treatments, all in the course of a day. I also enjoy both the personal aspect and the technical component of the field. It is very rewarding to get to know my patients, not just based on their symptoms, but also personally, and then working together to find the best solution to their problem. Performing procedures is not only enjoyable but allows me better insight into my patients problem and management.
