Shakil Siddiqui, M.D. is a highly rated psychiatrist and a proud member of Lifestance Health PLLC team in Houston, Texas. Dr. Siddiqui has more than 25 years of experience as psychiatrist. For several years, Dr. Siddiqui worked at Rusk Hospital in Rusk, Texas where he treated a large number of acutely ill and newly admitted psychiatric patients in the psychiatric unit. He provided expert testimony in court hearings for involuntary commitment and psychiatric treatment of the patients. He provided supervision, clinical support and teaching of the nurse practitioner and clinical staff. He also spent some time working as a staff psychiatrist at Mental Health Mental Retardation of Harris County in Houston, Texas, where he treated patients with Schizophrenia, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, …PTSD, etc.
Dr. Siddiqui also worked as a Medical Director of the hospital.
He also has vast experience in treating Geriatric patients, both inpatient and outpatient.
Dr. Siddiqui completed his psychiatric residency training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. He was awarded outstanding psychiatry resident award by the hospital for his excellent performance during his psychiatric resident training period.
