Dr. Sonal Harneja is board-certified in adult psychiatry and specializes in medication management and various psychotherapies to treat anxiety and depressive disorders. Dr. Harneja completed her undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (now called Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences). She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Harneja has held academic appointments at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College and Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and has provided collaborative, client-centered care in various settings serving diverse populations in NY.
Dr. Harneja’s practice focuses on medication management and supportive psychotherapy in 30-minute follow-up visits, as well as promoting wellbeing, resilience, and mindfulness. Dr. Harneja seeks to …create a strong therapeutic relationship and works collaboratively to develop comprehensive treatment plans with her clients.
