Dr. Stephanie Powers, DO

Dr. Stephanie Powers is a board-eligible psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She received her advanced medical degree from Adelphi University and completed her psychiatry residency training at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital and Medical Center. She also holds a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University.
She has practiced in various settings in her career, including treating adults in psychiatric inpatient, outpatient, and ER settings. In addition, she has worked intensively with PTSD in veterans. Dr. Powers was an attending at Zucker Hillside Hospital, Pederson-Krag, Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, Northport VA Medical Center, Nassau University Medical Center, and Damian Family Care Centers. She held an academic appointment at Stony Brook University Hospital Medical Center as Associate Professor and was a clinical instructor for New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Powers has instructed and supervised residents and medical students at multiple locations.
