Dr. Stephen Wells Shewmake, MD

A highly trained, board-certified physician specializing in Dermatology, Dr. Shewmake graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1972 with honors. He moved to San Diego to complete his dermatology internship and residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Shewmake is a member of the San Diego Dermatological Society, where he has served as President and Secretary/Treasurer. He is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Association of Military Dermatologists, Association of Military Surgeons, Pacific Dermatologic Association, American Society of Dermatological Surgery, San Diego Society of Dermatological Surgery and the North American Clinical Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Shewmake joined Arch Health Partners in 1991, then named the Centre for Health Care. In addition to a busy schedule caring for patients, Dr. Shewmake has published several articles and has implemented multiple clinical research studies.
