Dr. Suzanne Skoda Smith, MD

Suzanne Skoda-Smith, MD, is attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is clinical director for the Division of Immunology at Seattle Children’s Hospital and associate director of the University of Washington Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Training Program.
She received her undergraduate degree in immunology at University of California at Berkeley, attended University of Miami School of Medicine, completed residency at University of Florida, and received her fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her focus is on translational therapies for primary immunodeficiency, including hematopoetic cell transplantation, gene therapy and improved supportive care. Dr. Skoda-Smith is a member of the Non-Malignant Transplant Board which is held jointly with members of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research …Center. As a member of the Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies, as well as the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy, she participates in clinical trials dedicated to improving treatment for people with primary immune deficiency.
