Dr. Timothy James Bray, MD

Timothy J. Bray was educated at the University of California, Irvine, San Diego and San Francisco. He completed an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center and joined the full time Davis faculty for 6 years prior to joining the Reno Orthopaedic Clinic in 1987. He was Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at University of California at Davis (UCD) from 1983 to 1987.
He currently is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCD Medical Center and maintains a clinical affiliation with the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Dr. Bray is active in multiple national and international orthopaedic surgery organizations, he teaches orthopaedic residents and students, and is an examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Bray is currently the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma Services at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. He has multiple peer reviewed scientific publications including the article describing the …development of Northern Nevada’s trauma system.
He is currently President Elect of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association which promotes excellence in care for the injured patient, through provision of scientific forums and support of musculoskeletal research and education of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He will begin serving as the President in 2010.
Dr. BrayÂ’s clinical interests are in fracture surgery and adult reconstruction including joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee. He voluntarily recertified for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
Dr Bray maintains an active orthopaedic practice at Reno Orthopaedic Clinic, as well as holding monthly clinics in Fallon, Nevada.
