Growing up as an athlete, and learning about the form and function of the body, was always fascinating to Dr. Tyler Snoap. Combining this knowledge with hand-eye coordination Dr. Snoap learned in sports, seemed like a terrific fit for a medical career in orthopedic surgery.Dr. Snoap credits his parents as being the biggest influencers in his life. His mother encouraged him to pursue his medical career, and with his personality, orthopedic surgery was a good fit. His father instilled the mental toughness that helped guide Dr. Snoap through his medical education and career.Dr. Snoap has a passion for fixing complex fractures that would normally be debilitating if it were not for the recent advancements in surgery. Returning a patient to their previous form and function is what he loves most about his job.In his free time, Dr. Snoap volunteers with the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine residency program. His hobbies include golfing, weightlifting, relaxing by Lake Michigan and …spending time with his family.I really enjoy coming to work each day to focus on patient care. It is a privilege for me to get to know patients and how their orthopedic injuries/problems have changed their lives. I value working with each patient to find the best surgical or non-surgical treatment plan that will help improve his/her quality of life. I believe using a team approach is the key to a successful outcome.
