Viewpoint Dual Recovery Center was created almost 10 years ago when founder Amy Fackrell noticed a shortage of facilities that treat both mental illness and substance abuse at the same time. Many drug rehab centers or mental health treatment centers were strong in treating one or the other, but it was difficult to find a center designed specifically for dual diagnosis. Since its inception in 2011, our Arizona treatment center has helped countless individuals struggling to maintain long-term sobriety as a result of underlying mental illness and trauma. Our passion for helping this specific population is the driving force behind our treatment programs, which has transformed the lives of so many. What Viewpoint Does DifferentlyAt Viewpoint Dual Recovery, we focus on many elements of dual diagnosis treatment that set us apart from other centers. Our licensed clinicians treat both mental illness and substance abuse, and continuously educate themselves on best practices and innovative …therapeutic methods to treat dual diagnosis clients. We tailor each client’s treatment plan to their individual needs and diagnoses. We create a treatment plan immediately with a clinical team of licensed therapists, case managers, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists, and reviewed weekly to ensure client success.Clinical programming incorporates education, mindfulness, and evidence-based therapies to promote client self-awareness of diagnoses, triggers, strengths, and effective coping strategies to thrive in recovery.Day-to-day, our addiction treatment programs focus on managing thoughts and feelings, identifying destructive behaviors, and learning how to change and manage them while practicing healthy relationships and respectful communication. Education, vocational training, and volunteering which we couple with case management, enabling each client to identify their passions and goals and start achieving them while in treatment. We integrate motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and somatic experiencing (SE). We weave these through our group therapy and individual sessions focusing on grief and loss, trauma, cross addiction, relapse prevention, relationships, codependency, boundaries, and nutrition and wellness.Addiction and mental illness can affect not only the person suffering. It also affects those closest to them. As a result, our clinical team has incorporated therapy sessions and workshops for clients and their support systems.
