Dr. Ramanath studied medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, followed by internal medicine training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. He later pursued specialty training in cardiology/cardiovascular medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (Dartmouth Medical School) in New Hampshire, where he developed a deep interest in vascular
(including venous) medicine as well. He then moved to New Haven, Connecticut to undergo training in interventional cardiology and advanced catheter-based techniques in peripheral vascular disease and venous disease at Yale-New Haven Hospital (Yale University School of Medicine). He is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology.
