Derek Kane, MD joined the Surgery department at Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in August 2009.
A native of Bismarck, Dr. Kane graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Anatomical Sciences and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush University in Chicago, IL where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Prior to joining the clinic, Dr. Kane completed a general surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he served as Co-Administrative Chief Resident, and received the Resident Teacher of the Year Award as well as the Golden Scalpal Award.
Dr. Kane is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. He is licensed to practice in the states of North …Dakota and Wisconsin.
