Dr. Bendt Phillip Petersen III, MD

Dr. Petersen graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Biochemistry and Biology. He received his MD from the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Medicine graduating AOA. After completing a residency in Orthopedic Surgery, he served as the Daniel E. Hogan fellow in Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Petersen is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in conditions of the spine. He is a member of most area hospital staffs and is a Adjunct Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama and a U.S. Army Flight Surgeon.
