Dr. Jelen graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa in 1984. In 1985, he earned his master’s degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio in 1985. He received his doctor of osteopathy from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio in 1994, graduating with high honors. Dr. Jelen completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton in 1999, and an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Methodist Hospital in 2000. He worked with East Lansing Orthopaedic Association before joining OrthoIndy in 2001.
