Dr. Bryan D. Blitstein, a native to the Midwest, attended school at the University of Missouri, Kansas-City. There he completed both his undergraduate training and medical school in six years. He then traveled to Chicago for his General Surgical training at the Loyola University Medical Center. There he was awarded a scholarship for excellence to undergo additional training in Minimally Invasive, or Laparoscopic, Surgery.
Dr. Blitstein came to Charlotte in 1998.
Dr. Blitstein’s special interests are in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, especially cancer, surgery of endocrine disorders, minimally Invasive surgery, and diseases of the breast. He also serves as a trauma surgeon for the Presbyterian Trauma Center. Dr. Blitstein has been Chief of surgery at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville, and Carolinas Medical Center-University.
He is an accomplished pianist in classical, jazz, and blues playing since the age of 8. He enjoys spending time with his two sons.
