Carolina Egbe Njikam is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PHMHNP-BC) licensed in the States of Pennsylvania and Maryland who has over 10 years of nursing experience. Carolina specializes in ADHD, psychological trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, OCD-related issues, insomnia/sleeping disorders, and addiction issues. Carolina graduated from Wilkes University with a Post-Graduate Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner APRN Certificate. She also holds a Master’s degree in Nursing leadership and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Western Governor’s University. Carolina has psychotherapy training and incorporates multiple modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectal behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), culturally sensitive (CST), and person-centered techniques (PCT) into treatment in addition to …medication management.
