Dr. Charity Lynn Kates, MD

Dr. Charity Kates is a board-certified family medicine physician with a certification in functional medicine from the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM).
While getting her medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, she participated in the Complementary and Alternative Medical Program (CAM) where she shadowed and learned from integrative medical practitioners. During residency, she worked at an integrative medicine physician’s office. There, she learned more about Integrative practices.
She has been recognized by the National Committee on Quality Assurance for both Patient Centered Medical Home Level 3 certification and for Diabetes Management.
Previously she worked for Parsley Health and ran her own wellness practice where she incorporated basic education in integrative modalities, including nutrition, mindfulness, movement, stress management, yoga, and meditation.
