Dr. Mabee joined OGGI in 1999. Formerly, he was an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Ohio State University where he had a special interest in liver diseases and liver transplantation. Dr. Mabee is a 1988 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Ohio State University in 1992, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving the Clinical Competence Award. He remained at OSU to complete his internal medicine residency in 1995, and for his first year of gastroenterology training. From 1996-1998, Dr. Mabee completed a hepatology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, and at Baylor University for specific training in transplantation. He has received numerous awards, has published several scientific articles, and has co-authored two chapters in textbooks. Dr. Mabee is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, ACG, ACP, AMA, and AGA. He is board certified in internal …medicine and gastroenterology.
