Biography
I am a general thoracic surgeon who is board certified in the subspecialty of thoracic surgery and the specialty of general surgery.
About my practice
My colleagues and I provide thoracic surgical treatment for difficult and complex thoracic diseases of the lungs, esophagus and mediastinum (part of the chest cavity). We are part of the Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Over ninety percent of the lung and esophageal cancer resections we performed were done using a video-assisted thoracoscopic technique that involves inserting a thin, tube-like instrument with a light and a lens for viewing inside the body. The advantages we’ve observed from using video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery are less pain for the patient, less scarring and a faster recovery.
