Dr. Elizabeth Tu was born in Dallas, Texas, and is a graduate of Baylor University where she majored in Speech Communication. She obtained her medical degree at Rocky Vista University in Parker, Colorado and she completed her Family Medicine residency at Texas Tech in Amarillo, Texas.
Dr. Tu likes managing the “bread-and-butter” of medicine such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and chronic lung diseases. She is an advocate of having open dialogue with her patients: explaining the physiology, discussing treatment options, and supporting their decisions. With her speech communication major, she translates the most complicated conditions into relatable terms allowing patients to understand and take ownership of their disease processes. In the fashion of Family medicine, Dr. Tu not only provides care for adults but can treat children as well.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cooking. She describes herself as a big “foodie” and loves exploring new …restaurants and flavors with her husband. They are recent parents to a baby girl. She is excited to be a part of Questcare and cannot wait to foster new relationships with the residents of Melissa and McKinney.
