Dr. Faisal Siddiqui is orginally from Ohio, and has been in the Northern Virginia Area since 2005. He is affiliated with Prince William Hospital, Fairfax Hospital, and Fair Oaks Hospital. Dr. Siddiqui completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with distinction in all subjects. He subsequently completed his medical education at Vanderbilt Medical School and graduated with honors.
After completing medical school, Dr. Siddiqui specialized in orthopaedic surgery with a residency at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center. There he was awarded the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation humanitarian award and received “Resident of the Year” recognition by the medical faculty for excellence in clinical care and teaching. Dr. Siddiqui then further subspecialized in spinal surgery with a fellowship at the Charlotte Spine Center at the Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Siddiqui has published numerous peer-reviewed …medical articles pertaining to orthopaedics and spine surgery. He routinely gives lectures to the medical and public communities on minimally invasive approaches to spine surgery. He has currently been awarded an INOVA faculty research grant to study three-dimensional computer modeling in spinal trauma. Dr. Siddiqui also is a member of the Trauma Executive Commitee at Fairfax Hospital which is currently the only Level I trauma center in the region. He has taken care of complex spinal trauma there since 2005. Dr. Siddiqui has specialized training in minimally invasive spine surgery and was one of the first surgeons in Northern Viriginia to perform the minimally invasive Trans1 and Xlif procedures, using computer assisted navigation as well as fluoroscopic assisted surgery. In addition, Dr. Siddiqui has significant experience in disc replacement surgery and completed an international training program in Munich, Germany with Dr. M. Myers on the “Prodisc-C” cervical disc replacement procedure.
Dr. Siddiqui serves as Vice-Chairman of the Prince William Department of Orthopaedics, where he also takes care of general orthopaedic trauma injuries. In his free time, Dr. Siddiqui enjoys being with his family and his hobbies include golfing and skiing.
