Henry Goitz, MD As a DMC Sports Medicine physician, Dr. Goitz is part of the team that provides care for the Detroit Red Wings, Pistons and Tigers. He has worked extensively with teams in many sports at the high school, college and professional level including the Detroit Lions, Toledo Ballet, and the U.S. Senior Open. He served as Team Orthopaedist for the U.S. Paralympic Team at the Paralympic, Pan American, and World Games.
Dr. Goitz has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally regarding the management of sports injury, and has been annually awarded the prestigious national ‘America Top Doctors’ Award (Castle Connelly) for Orthopaedic Sports Medicine since its inception in 2001. He has published a number of peer review research articles and book chapters to his credit and is Managing Editor of the Sports Section of E-Medicine. Dr. Goitz has also been quoted in Newsweek, Runner’s World, the Associated Press, MS NBC, as well as interviews on radio and PBS …television.
