Dr. Frank Vincent Beardell, MD

Board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology, Frank V. Beardell, M.D., is a Hematologist for the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and a partner in Delaware Clinical and Lab Physicians, P.A.
Dr. Beardell is the Medical Director of the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Program at Christiana Care, one of an elite few in the world accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT).
An accomplished researcher, Dr. Beardell is a co-investigator for the Cancer and Leukemia Group B, a clinical research initiative sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, one of the largest associations in the United States involved in clinical trials for adult cancer patients. Dr. Beardell also has researched numerous hematologic malignancy and bone marrow transplantation protocols.
A 1989 graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington D.C., Dr. Beardell completed his internship and residency in internal …medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware in Wilmington in 1992. He received McClean Fellowship for Training in Hematology at the Cardeza Foundation for Hematological Research, Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. Dr Beardell trained in both hematology and oncology spanning 1992-1995 at Thomas Jefferson University, where he also was chief fellow. In 1996, he completed a fellowship in bone marrow transplantation and hematologic malignancies at Jefferson. Dr. Beardell was an attending physician and clinical instructor in Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University from 1996 to 1998.
During a distinguished career at Christiana Care and in private practice, Dr. Beardell has received a number of academic appointments. He is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Jefferson.
He has served on numerous committees and published several clinical research articles, abstracts and case reports. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and other local and national medical societies and organizations.
