Dr. Gina Brown, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and is the only board-certified pediatric dermatologist in the state of Alaska. She is passionate about providing solutions to all skincare needs with personalized and compassionate care.
Alaska Family Dermatology focuses on general adult medical dermatology and pediatric dermatology. The practice prioritizes providing competent, compassionate, and personalized care overseeing a high volume of patients. The well-being of staff is also a priority, and staff members treat each other like family. Alaska Family Dermatology opened in 2019 and is privately owned.
Dr. Brown attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine and then completed residencies in pediatrics and dermatology at the University of Colorado. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University.
She has also spent time as a Pediatrician in Lesotho working with Pediatric HIV patients, received a …resident international grant to practice dermatology in Botswana, and observed dermatology clinics in Guatemala as well.
During medical school, she co-founded a non-profit which is still going known as Ride for World Health, in which medical students ride across the U.S. and advocate for improvements in the quality and accessibility of national and global healthcare.
