Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Jeffrey E. Balazsy, D.P.M., M.D., has joined the hospital’s medical staff as a specialist in orthopaedic trauma surgery.
Dr. Balazsy practiced most recently in southwest Florida. Prior to that, he was an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak. He has also served as a flight surgeon for a Level I trauma center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Balazsy is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and specializes in adult and pediatric orthopaedic traumatology, pelvis and acetabulum surgery, fracture malunions/nonunions, osteomyelitis, as well as foot and ankle reconstruction. In his new practice, he will be available for trauma calls in the Emergency Center and in his private practice.

A graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Balazsy completed his residency in podiatry at St. John North Shores Hospital.
After later earning a medical degree at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, he completed an orthopaedic surgical residency at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak before going on to complete an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.
His professional memberships include a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society and Florida State Medical Association.
