Dr. Grubb received his M.D. degree from the Oho State University College of Medicine in 1989, then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in 1994. His advanced studies included a spinal surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins University under John P. Kostuik M.D. Dr. Grubb is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a former assistant professor at Penn State University, clinical instructor at Northeastern Ohio Universities college of Medicine, a member of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and AO Spine Faculty. In addition to his extensive training, Dr. Grubb has contributed to multiple journal articles, as well as presenting at national meetings regarding surgery of the spine.
Dr. Grubb specializes in the minimally invasive approach to all spine-related disorders in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar region. He is a strong proponent in the conservative treatment of spinal problems. Dr. Grubb is skilled in spinal Microendoscopic surgery, and the latest techniques in spinal fixation.
Dr. Grubb prides himself as being a caring and competent surgeon. He holds the well being of his patients in the highest regard.
