Dr. Radu Zidarescu, M.D.
A highly respected physician who has practiced in Dearborn County since 2000, Dr. Zidarescu (“call me Dr. Zâ€) joined Partners in Health in April, 2007. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. He grew up in Romania. He got excellent grades in school and his parents encouraged him to pursue medicine as a way to have more career options in the Communist country. When the Communist regime fell in 1989, more opportunities became available. He graduated from medical school in 1993, served one year of internship in Bucharest, and then accepted an internship at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City. He did his residency at Jacobi Medical Center/Einstein Hospital at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He was named outstanding resident of the year in 1996 and 1997. He spent three years on a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center at Jacobi/Einstein, then looked to relocate from a …Manhattan apartment to a place where he and his wife could raise a family. They looked at the lower Midwest, the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee, and they chose Lawrenceburg. He and his wife Dana have four children (Anna, Nicholas, Stefanie, Thomas). They live in Hidden Valley. The Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce recently published a new Focus tabloid to help newcomers as well as residents better understand all that is so good about living, working and playing in Dearborn County. Dr. Radu Zidarescu was featured in the Healthcare section. Click here.
“I’m pleased to have joined Partners in Health. I know the other doctors and I like the way they practice medicine. I love what I do. Health is the most important thing in life. My patients are noticing very few changes, other than a different office location. Joining a larger group means I’m able to stay here. We’ve been here six years and we really like the community. It’s a great place to raise a family. We’re close to a big city and we live in a rural setting. I skied a lot growing up. Our family is doing that together at Perfect North.â€
