Dr. Leibowitz earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. He served his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colo. Dr. Leibowitz completed a sleep medicine fellowship at Stanford University in Stanford, Calif. His undergraduate education was completed at Brandeis University in Boston.
Dr. Leibowitz is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a sleep medicine sub-specialty certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
His professional memberships include the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Leibowitz currently is in practice with The Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians group as the medical director of the Piedmont Sleep Disorders Center. He also is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry …and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University.
