Souzan El-Eid, MD, FACS, graduated Medical School from the University of Nebraska Medical Center Omaha, Nebraska 1990, General Surgery Residency at Nassau University in Long Island, New York, and a Critical Care Fellowship at Wayne State University Detroit, Michigan.
She had been in practice as a breast surgeon in Kingston, New York since 1996 and recently moved to Las Vegas to provide Comprehensive Breast Care Services.
Dr. El-Eid is the first breast surgeon in Las Vegas certified in both ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsies. She proctors stereotactic procedures and is one of the reviewers for ultrasound certification applications nationally under the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
Dr. El-Eid is a member of the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group (ACOSOG), providing the latest breast cancer research under the National Cancer Institute sponsorship. She has served in New York as a Cancer Liaison Physician and was the recipient of the Cancer Liaison …Physician Outstanding Performance Award for 2006 from the Commission on Cancer under the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. El-Eid has been elected as one of the American Cancer Society ambassadors to Washington, DC, lobbying for cancer care.
What we offer:
“One Stop Answer” where an abnormal mammogram, a lump or an uncertain finding is evaluated and the answer is given by the Doctor in a compassionate, timely manner.
If a biopsy is needed, whether ultrasound guided or stereotactic (mammogram guided), it is done personally by Dr. El-Eid.
If surgical intervention is necessary, Dr. El-Eid is trained in advanced surgical procedures with a minimally invasive approach such as: small lumpectomy, Sentinel Lymph Node biopsy, cryoablation, ultrasound guided resection, and brachytherapy to name a few.
High risk patients are followed and monitored as such with digital mammography screening and breast MRI when indicated.
Genetic counseling and testing is offered when appropriate.
Dr. El-Eid is specially trained in Ductoscopy for abnormal nipple discharge which can be performed right in the office.
The Doctor provides comprehensive, patient focused services utilizing the latest techniques in breast care.
