Dr. Shanmugam is a board certified rheumatologist who has been practicing in the Philadelphia suburbs for over 10 years.Dr. Shanmugam completed her internal medicine training from Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health and went on to be Assistant Professor of Medicine at Abington Hospital prior to competing her rheumatology fellowship training at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a member of the Pennsylvania Rheumatology Society.She truly believes that a physician patient relationship that is built on trust helps patients feel healthy and get better soon. She devotes a lot of her time during each patient visit to talk to patients about their health and makes sure she address all their concerns.
