Dr. Kim joined the Lake Region Healthcare Medical Staff in 2003.
He graduated from the University of Chicago School of Medicine, and completed post-medical school training in general surgery at Loyola University, Chicago, IL; internal medicine at Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL; and orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University, New York, NY. He then completed a one year spine surgery fellowship at MN Spine Center in Minneapolis, MN.
He has been doing exclusively spine surgery for the last 15 years, having performed more than 3,000 spine surgeries of various complexities including cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
Dr. Kim is a member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Board of Spine Surgery.
