Throughout medical training, Todd Hitchcock, M.D. developed an affinity for clinical patient care and teaching trainees. Additionally, he has presented and published original research at the American Heart Association national meeting on valvular heart disease and defibrillators during cardiology fellowship. He also had the opportunity to go on a medical mission to Fiji in 2006 where he participated in educational activities with medical house officers and provided medical care to the indigenous population.
Dr. Hitchcock has a wide range of interests within the field ranging from arrhythmias to valvular disorders. In particular, he enjoys assisting patients in decreasing their risk of developing coronary heart disease and managing its after-effects. He provides inpatient care at Scripps Green Hospital and performs procedures such as interpretation of stress tests, cardiac catheterization/angiography and pacemaker insertions. Dr. Hitchcock is dedicated to providing individualized, advanced care in a personable manner. He looks forward to increasing access to Scripps Clinic specialized care in the North County.
