Dr. Hayes completed his Undergraduate degree Cum Laude in biology from Wake Forest University and his Medical degree and gastroenterology Fellowship at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. His Internal medicine residency was at the University of Virginia in Roanoke. Dr. Hayes is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Gastroenterological Association.
