After earning her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Ssengoba-Ubogu completed her residency in Family Medicine in 2004. She was a National Health Service Corps Scholar and worked in an underserved area for three years after completing her residency. From Cleveland, she moved to Houston, Texas to serve as full time teaching faculty in a Family Medicine Residency Program. In 2013 she moved to Alabama and joined staff at The University of Alabama at Birmingham as a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine and is involved in medical student and NP student education. Her clinical interests include diabetes, hypertension, international medicine, women’s health and preventative medicine.
