Dr. Beth Kalnins received her bachelor’s degree at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago. She completed her family practice residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford and has been practicing medicine since 1997. As a physician in the FHN Physician Rounding Service, Dr. Kalnins sees patients at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Kalnins is also Medical Director of FHN Medical Weight Management program. This program is a medically supervised program using FDA approved weight loss medications and personalized nutrition plan to help overweight patients achieve their weight loss goals.
While any provider can offer a medical weight loss program to patients, members of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians have been exposed, through an extensive continuing medical education program, to specialized knowledge, tools and techniques to enable them to design specialized medical …weight loss programs tailored to the needs of individual patients and modify the programs, if needed, as the treatment progresses.
Dr. Kalnins is also a wife and mother of three children.
