Originally from Canada, I graduated from medical school in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Akron, Ohio for my residency. In Ohio ,I met my wife, who is a nurse currently working with autistic children in Melbourne. During my last year of residency I was asked to be a chief resident while I was also working as an inpatient hospitalist with critical care patients.
Upon graduation , I moved to South Carolina and joined a small practice in Internal Medicine. I became Chief of Staff after a few years and remained in that position until making the decision to relocate to Melbourne to bring my wife close to family and seek out services for our son with autism.
In 2010 I received recognition for the delivery of Quality Diabetes Care by NCQA (the National Committee for Quality Assurance).
