Dr. Franco Ralph Rea, MD

Franco Rea, MD, is Board Certified in Surgery, Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. His areas of interest are Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery (MITS) and vascular surgery.

He graduated cum laude from Gannon University and the Ohio State University College of Medicine, then completed his internship and residency at Ohio State University Medical Center. His fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery was served at the University of Louisville.
Prior to coming to Colorado, he practiced with Kentuckiana Thoracic and Vascular Surgery in New Albany, Indiana. He also served as a clinical instructor of surgery at the University of Louisville and as a physician consultant for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville.
Dr. Rea enjoys hiking, biking, fishing and travel with his wife, who is a nurse practitioner, and family.
