Dr. Rie Aihara is the Medical Director of Regional Breast Care. Dr. Aihara is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery. She is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Aihara received her medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California. She then proceeded to Boston, MA for her training in General Surgery at Tufts University/New England Medical Center. She has trained with the breast surgeons at the Faulkner Hospital/Brigham and Women%u2019s Health Care, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Aihara was a fellow in the Trauma/Critical Care Department at Boston University School of Medicine. She was on the faculty as Co-Director of the Breast Clinic at the Boston Medical Center. She was recognized as the %u201CPhysician of the Month%u201D in Oct., 2009 by Lee Memorial Health System for going the extra mile in the care of her patients.
