Dr. Shaena Hyunchu Choi, MD

Dr. Shaena Choi is a board certified Eye Surgeon who has been in private practice for over 10 years. Her practice involves state of the art cataract surgery including multifocal and toric lens options, LASIK/PRK, oculoplastic surgery, medical glaucoma, medical retina, and pediatrics.
She received her undergraduate degree at University of Texas in Austin and then completed her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After completing a 1 year internal medicine internship at New England Medical Center in Boston, Mass, she completed her residency training at University of Rochester – Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and the Houston Ophthalmologic Society.
Dr. Choi and her husband have 2 active, young sons. She enjoys running and travelling. She is also an accomplished pianist and is aspiring to learn guitar.
