Steven M. Dellose, M.D., completed his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1996, following undergraduate studies in biological sciences at the University of Delaware. After a general surgery internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Temple University Hospital, he completed a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before coming to the Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists in Wilmington, where he remains as partner.
Dr. Dellose is member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Delaware Orthopaedic Society, the Medical Society of Delaware, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, the Eastern Orthopaedic Society, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Temple Orthopedic Alumni, where he serves as president. Dr. Dellose has also served as physician ambassador for Christiana Care Health System since 2004. He has been …named one of Delaware Today magazine’s Top Docs for orthopaedic surgery in 2006–2010. He holds medical licensure in Delaware and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Dellose is presently affiliated with the Christiana Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children. From 1997 to 2001 he was team physician with Temple University Sports Medicine, and while in medical school he served as president of the Student Orthopaedic Society at Jefferson Medical College.
Dr. Dellose continues to deliver scientific presentations on subjects related to joint replacement. He has authored or co-authored orthopaedics articles that have appeared in peer-reviewed journals, and he has written about surgery for orthopaedic textbooks.
