What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I love being able to help patients identify their health issues. Identifying, diagnosing, and treating their health issues brings me great joy to know that I have helped change someone’s life for the better. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of a primary care provider is to provide care to their patients. That is to make sure patients are getting age-appropriate preventative testing, and are being treated based on evidence-based guidelines. It is also important for the provider to assess and identify each patient’s mental health status, and treat it appropriately. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I am a Family Nurse Practitioner, currently enrolled in the Post Masters Psych Mental Health program. I enjoy dancing, bowling, and traveling in my spare time.
