Dr. Mario Ruiz was born and raised in Southern California. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology, he earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in La Jolla, California.
Dr. Ruiz completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Center in Houston. He returned to Southern California for his nephrology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center.
Dr. Ruiz is a physician partner at North Texas Kidney Disease Associates. He and his wife enjoy spending family time with their four children.
